GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Coordinator of Technology leads and supports the division’s instructional technology resource teachers, coordinates professional development initiatives on digital innovation, and administers the division’s virtual academy for secondary students. This position provides leadership in integrating digital learning initiatives to support instruction and administration.

- Directly supervise, guide, and support a team of instructional technology resource teachers to ensure effective technology integration across the division and provide feedback and support to meet the division’s instructional technology objectives.
- Act as the primary administrator for Virtual Academy, overseeing management and collaborating with school counselors, administrators, families, and students.
- Lead initiatives to implement and integrate instructional technology into classrooms, collaborating with the instructional team to select and evaluate digital tools that align with instructional goals.
- Design and deliver professional development programs focusing on technology integration and innovation.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and use of current educational software.
- Keep up to date on emerging trends in technology and apply new knowledge.
- Serve on committees and participate in meetings regarding long and short-term technology planning.
- Perform related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have a thorough knowledge and proficiency in using educational software, digital tools, and virtual learning platforms and a forward-thinking approach to educational technology and innovation. Must have school administrator experience, strong leadership, and communication skills. Must have excellent project management skills, overseeing multiple initiatives and ensuring alignment with division goals. Must have proven ability to supervise and support teachers, fostering their growth and effectiveness. Must have a demonstrated ability to lead professional development initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in school administration. Experience in instructional technology.
A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Some standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, and handling, pushing, and pulling.
